think this should work ...
So luck there. This didn't work:
Don't know why, but for me this works ... (also "break function" without arguments - I just have tried it ...)
But I read somewhere that there can be problems with shared libraries and you can also set breakpoints with "break Main.cpp:47" (file:linenr)

How do you get gdb to find the sources for externals? It seems to find the Pd source fine, but not the source the objects I am working on.
What platform are you on? I am on Mac OS X.
