hi devs, hi miller
there is a strange behavior of pd 0.36, 0.37 and 0.38 (i tested msw and linux): sometimes i missed a cord-connection in a patch, which worked, before i did edit it.
now a simple example: start pd without any externals, sound or midi; create a new window; create 3 messages with content "aa", "bb" and "cc", "aa" on top, "bb" and "cc" on bottom; connect "aa" with "bb"; connect "aa" with "cc"; change content of "bb" to "xx", (the text-cursor is still blinking in "xx"-message-box);
|aa( / \ / \ |xx( |cc(
now click immediately the connection from "aa" to "cc" (it becomes blue); and delete this cord with backspace.
but pd removes the cord between "aa" and the previous edited message-box ("xx"). there is a simple workaround, you have to click to canvas-background before you select the cord you want to delete, but i think it's a bug.
cheers, thomas musil
It would be great if you could file a bug in the tracking system for this. That way we can track and manage this bug.
