Hi all, the current devel_0_38 version (i think also the stable branch, but i didn't try it) has two problems: - if the doc subdirectory doesn't exist the new menu code in pd.tk hickups so that tk is totally f***ed up. (create new patcher -> no objects can be inserted) this problem seems to be rooted in the doc_submenu proc. - when started from the console under Windows, pd -help or -verbose printouts go to nirvana - they are neither printed on the command prompt nor in the tk console. Is this what was already reported (i think by Iohannes)?
best greetings, Thomas
This sounds very much like a bug Guenter Geiger patched a couple weeks back. Miller included the patch in .38-3 and -4, but you can get it in the SF tracker.

devel_0_38 is up to date with pd-0.38-4...
beside that ... i like the idea of the new doc menu, but i'd like to be able to scroll, instead of only seeing the first 30 entries of each directory ...
cheers ... tim
YEs... this scroling works in Windows and Mac, just not linux, so I guess it's in the tk implementation.
cheers Miller

beside that, i'd like the help-browser to recognize subdirectories correctly; zexy (used to) install help-patches into 5.reference/zexy/ --> this leads to an entry "zexy" in the reference-browser, but it looks exactly like a help-patch and opening it fails.
