Hi all, would it be possible to exclude the autobuild results from this digest, like e.g. by making a separate mailing for that. It's has become absolutely impossible to track the cvs changes.

it's possible to switch off the digest mode for pd-cvs and forward the autobuild mails to the trash.
not a solution, just a hack ...

ähm, if you choose to receive pd-cvs in non-digest mode, you should also be possible to select the "cvs" topic (and not no-topic (which is equivalent to ALL topics) or the "autobuild" topic). in this case you should not receive "autobuild" emails.
no, this is not possible in digest mode. tell me if it works (or not)

using topics is a hack too, but uses less bandwidth.

My the same measure, I find it difficult to track changes when the CVS checkins from the forks are also included. But I am not suggesting they be removed from the list because I am willing to tolerate that if it means more cooperation.

Has the moratorium already ended? The other day you were asking about features from the "forks" to be included into Miller's PD and now you kindly tolerate the existence? I'm only asking for a constructive solution to make the digests more readable, as they used to be - i think the autobuild stuff is great, even though i don't use it. If my previous post sounded rough, maybe because i'm not a native speaker - it was completely unintentional.
all the best, Thomas

I reduced the autobuild report from 200 to 20 lines. That should help. I was hoping to have the autobuild reports not in the digest so that they are more apparent.
The idea is that if someone checks something in, the next day, they should check to make sure nothing broke. If something broke, then it should be fixed. Ideally we'd have buildbot setup. It can email the specific person who broke compilation. But that's a big project.
I have to say that I am very surprised that the autobuilds aren't being used by vibrez/devel, especially when working towards a release. It makes that job much, much easier.

That sounds like a good solution.

vibrez is a project that aims at good stability, hence it's too dangerous to compile directly from the cvs. Concerning pd-devel, it might be worth looking into it, although it's more urgent to merge in the changes from 0.40
