you might also want to check out the "Testing environment" (at the end of the file), where it says that the external was only tested against a 32bit version of Pd.

if you have a 64bit version of Pd, i think you will need to compile the external yourself (which i probably something you will want to avoid) or find some kind sould that does that for you.
