I thought I saw someone had figured out how to fix the wierd problem with newer-than-8.4.4 versions of Tcl/Tk on OSX (you click on the app and Tcl/Tk dies with an error, whereas running Pd.app/Contents/ Resources/bin/pd works fine...)
But madly searching through the list archives I can't find it... am I dreaming?
...this sounds kinda familiar, but I can say that over the last few days (on OSX 10.4.1) I've not had any problems with tcl/tk 8.4.9.1 compiling and running the cvs head of pd (devel included)...the latest version is 8.4.10, but that introduces a change
Also, James found out that dynamic loading is now best done using dlopen() etc.. unlsee there's something wrong with that I'll stick it in.
...outside of the initial work I did on this, I haven't revisited it...there really doesn't seem to be a problem if externals are built in two_level_namespace (ie. NOT flat_namespace), but I haven't tried this out with all externals in cvs...I'll keep ya posted as I try things out...in any event, like the patch says, dlopen is the preferred way for sometime on osx, and we didn't know... :-\

even though i am not sure why you had to "try again", i fear that your email has been rejected. this is due to some server instability we at the IEM have been experiencing within the last weeks.
hopefully we will get the new server hardware within the next week, which should fix all the problems.
please except my apologies.

...no apology needed, it just caught me offguard: I've never thought of myself as a spammer :-)
