Hi list,
In sigmund~.c line 228 / < https://github.com/pure-data/pure-data/blob/master/extra/sigmund%7E/sigmund%... >
Is that,
int bin2 = (maxbin < bestindex + 50 ? bestindex + 50 : maxbin);
should not be instead:
int bin2 = (maxbin > bestindex + 50 ? bestindex + 50 : maxbin);
I'm probably wrong, but in case, somebody could check?
Just looking now... I think you're right on both counts, but the code is so dense I'll need to look at it again later and make sure I'm not getting thrown off (particularly by the "cbin" question under separate cover).
In fact, I'm impressed you can understand that code... I don't anymore myself.
cheers Miller

Hi,
I'm refactoring the code as i need to make it thread-safe. That's why. I do it step by step with extra care as TBH i don't understand all the mathematics involved (specially since i didn't find any paper about what's happened under the hood). I didn't proposed a pull request because as you said it needs much more tests. But after cleaning it, i'm almost sure that the three points i have reported (i've just posted another possible issue in the other thread) can lead to buffer overflow. I guess in fact it never happens since there is never enought power in highest frequencies.

Hey guys!
I have been talking to a developer about some externals, which he compiled in OS X Mojave 10.14.1, for Pd 0.49-1.
But when I try to add the externals as a path, in the same pd version, but on OS X 10.10.5 I get this error:
“no such object found”.
As shown in this video below(The video shows PD 0.48-2, but I have also tried PD 0.49-1 with same result):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNhBTOaTl5w&feature=youtu.be
Seems like Pure Data won’t recognise them.
So my question is:
- Are there any known issues on using externals compiled on a never version of OS X on an older version of OS X? - Or do you have any other suggestions to what might be the reason that they don’t work on my system and works on his system?
I have many other externals and they all work, so I am pretty sure I have set everything up right on my end, so I dont think its a user error…. I hope not :)
I would love to give some feedback to the developer, that might help get it sorted, so if anyone have some suggestions, that I could pass on, it would be lovely :)
Thanks and have a nice weekend!

Hey again!
Nevermind, after doing a bit of research it seems that they are working. For some reason they doesn’t show in the path list after I added them, but I can still use them.
So thats cool.
have a good day.
