To Pd dev -
In hopes that this will help Pd contributors plan their time usage...
I'm planning on trying to get a functioning Pd 0.56 test version Real Soon Now (TM), since I'll start to be pretty busy with other stuff May 28 - July 12 (including the Sound and Music Computing conference in Graz, hurrah). But this could slip if I end up having problems.
I can't predict how long I'll find it necessary to keep it as a "test" version - of course, I think it will work fine but I'm usually wrong about that. I also need to make sure anyone who would like to try it out has enough time to do so. (And if you think you'll want to try it out but can't do it within a couple of weeks please let me know and I can hold off wrapping 0.56).
Then, since people seem to like to plan ahead (not a strong possibility for me personally) - let's plan on my putting out a 0.57 test version in mid August. That will imply another period of going over pull requests, which I'll at least get started on in mid July. The testing period would then be the second half of August plus more as needed.
cheers Miller
Hi Miller,
thanks a lot for the heads-up!

sure, but asI understand, the business is from may 28th *to* july 12th, so we're in the middle of really business, hence I suspect we still have a month or so before being able to release it. The email was from may 24th and I was expecting a test release in a few days, a week or so, but it's been almost 3 weeks, so I am thinking we missed the window.
cheers
