To Pd dev -
I think it's high time I froze 0.56-test1... I have one remaining question out about merging the latest doc updates. If all goes well perhaps we can put out the official one just after SMC, July 13 or 14.
Then I hope to have time in July/August to get back to working on "data structures" features and also to make patch editing less clunky. I'm aiming to get onto a faster PR/merging and release cycle now that I have more time to devote to Pd dev.
cheers Miller
Ok. I'd like to integrate the emscripton update for libpd before you do. I've been sitting on it but can try doing it today.

Ok, a *very small* set of changes to libpd ported from the libpd repo to pure-data are in the "libpd" branch. I could merge them into "develop" if needed.

the develop branch is currently fully merged, so it doesn't really matter.
you probably want to rebase whatever branch you end up using on current master (if you haven't done so yet)

OK I grabbed and merged it.

Hi, I'm really excited with being able to set colors :)
Found some issues though, see https://github.com/pure-data/pure-data/issues/2637
Also, I think we should also set them via a startup flag for now, see https://github.com/pure-data/pure-data/issues/2638
We're still working on manual updates and stuff, but there seems to be plenty of time. What I don't get yet though is how the new "vis" message works. When just sending "vis", the GUI disappears and effectively I have the feeling Pd crashed, as the application disappears from the side bar, and and when I reopen it, it's just a new Pd instance. Please help me understand so I can document this.
thanks
