Anyone know anything about http://www.debian-multimedia.org for apt- get sources? It has all of the non-Debian sources that Pd-extended needs, so it sounds like a good thing to use. I am wondering if the packages are stable and whether the repository will be around a while.

People are using this repository for several years (and several names) now, so I'd consider it resonably stable.
Ciao

both is true.
however, there are license issues (most of the software in debian-multimedia did not made it into debian because of license)

Do you know what the licensing issues are? Is there a GPL/BSD conflict? Or is it worse?
It looks like a good source, from where I sit.

Usually it's patent issues more than licensing issues, AFAIK. And most of those patent issues are null in most of the world, or even all of the world except the U.S. Somehow Fraunhofer managed to get a patent in Europe on MP3, so that would still be not allowed in Europe.
But the GPL/BSD/etc code that is not in Debian only because it's patented in the U.S. would be totally legit in Europe.
