That's strange. When I tried to use [midiout] in 0.37 on winXP I got a message like "Raw MIDI out not supported in Mac OSX"! I checked the source and in the nt makefile s_midi_pm.c was being used instead of s_midi_mmio.c. I downloaded just the source tarball too and it was the same. Wierd... Was I using some wierd version? I got it from Millers site...
I noticed that in earlier versions as well. This has been fixed in the final release of 0.37-1.
So the version you got [midiout] working was 0.37 or 0.37-1?

Sorry, I should have clarified. The version with working [midiout] was Pd 0.37-1, the most recent release from Miller's site. It's been very stable so far.
Ah, okay. Thanks :-)
Although it didn't work for me I'll check that version out thoroughly again before sending my patch to Miller. This could be a driver related thing.
Best wishes,
Padraig
