Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Luke Iannini (lukeiannini) Assigned to: Hans-Christoph Steiner (eighthave) Summary: [import] still not adding paths
Initial Comment: 'Allo hans! I'm trying to use [import] again here on OS X 10.6.2 with no luck:
I added a directory called "mylib" to ~/Library/Pd, added an empty patch called "mylib-meta.pd" into that dir, then added a patch "xxx.pd".
Using [import mylib] gives a promising libdir_loader: added 'mylib' to the canvas-local objectclass path, but then... xxx ... couldn't create
and [mylib/xxx] works fine.
I thought I saw that you removed the "added ... to the ..." messages unless verbose was on... but I also don't know how I could have an old version since I'm using Pd-0.42.5-extended-20091222.
(also tried Pd-0.43.0-devel-20091215, and there i just get "import ... couldn't create")
Definitely would much rather use [import] than [declare] :). I have no idea why [declare] requires reloading the patch to take effect... in the middle of any large slow-to-load patch that is a death.
