Hi all,
I made changes to portaudio and portmidi in cvsmain... compiles OK on linux and mac, not sure about windows yet. Continuing to hack on data structure stuff, plus fixing some bugs.
cheers Miller
hi miller ...

i'm curious, do you have any plans of replacing pd's midi implementation completely by portmidi? concerning portaudio / linux, it can probably replace the oss / jack implementations, although i haven't been able to run my hdsp with portaudio/alsa ... wini's alsamm implementation has it's issues, but it works better than portaudio/alsa ...
cheers .. tim
Well, first I'm going to test portmidi on all the platforms. Last time I tried it wasn't ready. Maybe it is now.

I hung out with Ross Bencina (one of the portaudio creators) at the NIME conference this past week, a cool guy. Maybe I could post some questions to him. Or even better, he said that he's going to be in San Diego sometime in June I think. He said he was planning on meeting you, Miller, so you could ask him questions about it in person.
