Category: puredata Group: None
Status: Closed
Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Guenter Geiger (ggeiger) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: tabreceive reads over buffer
Initial Comment: I was trying to use tabreceive in order to do zero padding in an FFT application. The easy way to do this would be to have an array that is smaller than the blocksize and having the rest of the block filled by zeros.
Unfortunately tabreceive does not fill the array with zeros, and more than that, it reads over the array buffer.

Sorry, this is actually not true, it doesn't read over the buffer but it leaves the rest of the signal in an unknown state.

Hi,
I have also added the feature request (FR) and patches tracker to the pd-dev list. These two will only send messages if a new item comes in. The bugs tracker sends messages for every update.
We can also change that behaviour. Let me know.
and because we like redundancy, a direct link to the patches that fix bugs (which haven't been sent to the list until now):
