Initial Comment:
I found that if I close Pd using the 'close' button in the console window (the red x in the top left of the window in Mac OS) having a patch opened, it let a process running in background. It doesn't happen if I close it from the File menu, tough.
I'm using Pd version 0.41-2 in a MacBook running Mac Os X ver. 10.5.2

There is no problem for me using pd-vanilla 0.41-4 on 10.4.11, can anyone confirm it is fixed on 10.5?

The patch can be an empty one, i.e., start Pd, create a new patch, close Pd using the close button in the console window. Check the processes running in the background and I find that Pd is still running.

Under Mac OS 10.4.11 i can't reproduce. Using the same version of Pd, of-cause. SO it might be "10.5" specific.
But, is there anything special going on in the patch you have opened (when you close the console window by click the red button)? I tried a few different things: Saved/not saved, with or without an instance of an object, with or without DSP turned on.
