Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: pd-extended Group: v0.43 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Robin Redeker (elmex) Assigned to: Hans-Christoph Steiner (eighthave) Summary: GUI stopped working after TCL error in H10.measurement.pd
Initial Comment: First my info:
Pd-0.43.1 ("extended-20120424") compiled 10:32:22 Apr 24 2012 & Pd-0.43.1 ("extended-20120404") on squeeze/sid Debian GNU/Linux AMD64
I get this error in the GUI when trying a different filter in Pure Data/03.audio.examples/H10.measurement.pd :
(Tcl) UNHANDLED ERROR: wrong # coordinates: expected an even number, got 1 while executing ".x1f5edc0.c create line \ 634 -nan \ 636 79.869949 \ 638 77.204491 \ 640 72.286003 \ 642 64.855995 \ 644 55.431900 \ 646 47.351097 \ 648 49.146599 \ 6..." ("uplevel" body line 2) invoked from within "uplevel #0 $cmds_from_pd"
Here is the debugging output I got from running "pd-extended -stderr -d 5 2> out.log": http://ue.o---o.eu/txt/54075780c6d159cca0e3fbd5896cf5a6.txt
Steps to reproduce:
1. start pd-extended 2. open help browser 3. goto Pure Data/ => 3.audio.examples/ => H10.measurement.pd 4. replace the text in the bp~ object box with hp8_butt~ (a filter from iemlib) 5. hit the bang on the top left of the patch 6. take a look at the main window of pd for the error
After this the GUI also stopped updating any changes in the valueboxes and I have to restart it.
"rdz" from IRC tried to reproduce it with the following versions on Ubuntu 10.04: 0.43.1-extended-20120318 and Pd-0.43.1-extended-20120404-ubuntu-lucid-i386.deb
BUT he was not able to reproduce this behaviour and the graph in the patch was plotted properly for hp8_butt~.
We were both using mostly the same tk/tcl major version. Mine is: tcl8.5 8.5.11-1 tk8.5 8.5.11-1
I also experienced similar problems with other examples and my own patches, but I was not able to reproduce them properly yet.
