isn't "Many bug fixes" a cvs log?
if you are wondering, why there have been no diffs between r1.11 and r1.12 in the mail, then i'd say it is because there are none to show. probably someone added a newline at the end of the file, or the linebreak has changed (CR,LF), which should be normally handled gracefully by the cvs implementation, but might be not working 100% correctly.

What happens is that diff -uw is whitespace-insensitive... but applying diffs is whitespace-sensitive... right?
