Hello,
Like presented in Conference on Digital Audio Effects (DAFx-09) 2009 [1] there was a library which can handle sms processing. Does anybody kbow of any follow ups or the like in the field of SMS for spectral synthesis ?
Interested in SMS and of a Pd implementaion.

i guess there's nothing *new* there, but at least it is there.

Thanks for info, I forgot to mention.
I worked with SMS-Tools, 10 years ago and I saw already the deken package, but unfortunately it always crashed on my Linux Debian bookworm (libsms).
So I wondered if it is worth to fix it or there is something new ?

That would be https://github.com/pure-data/pure-data/issues/2250

IOhannes, thanks for the fast fix.
Now it works with the develop branch of pd (, if handled carefully), ... will do further investigation on smspd.

I only tested with my own local copy of smspd, which uses the original code (rather than the one available on deken), and it likes crashing a lot. One problem I see is that libsms is not at all threadsafe, but smspd uses threads...
