Initial Comment: Using a windows vista laptop system with pd extended 40.3 rc1 The application immediately crashes when opening the select object help patch. I am not able to reproduce the crash with any other help patches so far. Nick Burge.

Message: no problem for me on winxp Pd 0.41.4-extended-20090417 or Pd-vanilla 0.42-4. If you still have this problem, please reopen this bug.

I don't have access to a Vista machine. I tried opening the [select] help file on WinXP using 0.40.3-extended-20080616 and it did not crash. Maybe try the most recent version? Or try removing [multiselect] from that help file.
