Hello,
Development on iPd has been slow lately, I'm currently trying to finish up my undergrad and it's taking up most of my free time.
I'm very glad that you e-mailed though; I've been noticing the Android threads that have been circulating recently, and I'm interested in checking out that project as soon as I can commit more time to development.
Also, If there's audio code floating around, I would be very interested in seeing that as well; this is the one major milestone I have left with iPd.
The next couple of weeks are going to be hectic because I'm finishing up a summer course, but I'm planning on getting more of iPd finished once I get more free time. If anyone's interested, I think I might be able to update the iPd wiki to outline everything that still needs to be done for that project in the meantime.
Like most of you, I think Pd running on mobile devices would completely open up developers' possibilities for creating interesting and innovative projects that work well on the platform — I am very excit ed about this project!
Best,

How's this coming along? We are working on a parallel project of getting Pd running on Android, and also integrating all of the mobile code into a branch in preparation to getting into trunk. There is also some iPhone audio code out there floating around that you could integrate.

Hi Everyone!
First time poster here – I would like to introduce you all to my project, iPd.

iPd is an open source port of Pd for the iPhone OS specifically designed for iPhone developers to utilize within their projects. The goal is to be able to utilize the flexibility of Pd within iPhone applications as a useful and interesting audio/control flow engine.
This project is part of my undergraduate degree requirements for Music Technology at McGill University, and my supervisor suggested that now would be the time to introduce it to you all. The project is still in its very early stages (there is a lot missing!), but here's what I've been able to do so far:
- loading and running Pd patches
- sending messages from the iPhone application to interact with Pd
- receiving output from Pd to trigger events in the iPhone
application
Again, there are a lot of features that are missing or don't work (there's no audio – yet), and my code is extremely messy at best. However, if you're interested, feel free to download the example project in the google code page and try it out for yourself!
Thanks for your time,
Chris Niven
