Initial Comment: When the properties window of a vslider is opened after the label has been set to a name containing %p, the label changes to something with the %p replaced by a seemingly random hexadecimal value.
I haven't checked which other gui objects are affected, nor whether other % codes (eg, %d or %f) are similarly affected.
See attached pd patch for an example - click the bng and then open the properties window for the vslider.
