i think "script" language here did not mean "text-based" language (ignoring the etymology of "script"), but rather "interpreted" language.
when talking about script languages, i was referring to text-based languages like, c, c++, tcl, ada, ruby, python, lisp, scheme and in some extend esoteric languages like whitespace or brainfuck ...
i used this term in contrary to graphical languages like max, jmax, pd or pnpd ...
