Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: pd-extended Group: None
Status: Closed Resolution: Wont Fix
Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Mac OS X: Path dialog won't save entries that are inside app
Initial Comment: When I try to enter a new path using the new dialog on osx the post window displays this:
error: s/Pd-extended.app/Contents/Resources/extra/pddp: no such object
On hitting apply and ok, then restarting Pd, then opening the Path dialog again, it reveals that the path hasn't saved.
The only way i can do this is to enter the path via Startup dialog and entering a -path path/to/folder
this is on 0.40.3 extended rc3 OS X 10.4.11

Message: something like 'pddp' is a library, so you can add it to the Startup if you want it to load. I personally think its not a bad thing that you cannot add paths that are inside the Pd.app. You can use [declare] or [import] and save that setting in the patch where it is needed.
If someone else wants to change this, I suppose that would be ok.

This only seems to affect paths that are inside of the the Pd-extended.app. If you want to add a library, you are best off using [declare] or [import] in the patch or for adding paths, using [declare].
