Initial Comment: when you load a file that does not exist into oggread~ and try to play it, then pd crashes. you can test this with the helpfile. first click on "load myfile.ogg" (which does not exist) and then on start. on my machine (osx 10.5.2) this crashes pd. (extended 0428).

Message: confirmed on debian with pd-vanilla (0.41-4) and pdogg from svn.
clicking "start" was the magic (just "open"ing the non-existing file is not enough)

This does not happen on Mac OS X 10.4.11/Intel using Pd-extended 0.40.3-20080528
