Hi all,
I just completed building pd-extended on an ARM system. I had to fix a bunch of dependencies, but I eventually got it all the way through. (It ended with "linux_make install succeeded!") After that I did make package which worked too.
However, it didn't seem to actually install pd-extended into the expected default directories (/usr/local).
After I installed from the package it had created, everything worked normally, but I just wanted to see if make install was supposed to actually install or not.
i'm not sure whether i understood what you are actually asking (or if you are asking anything at all)
nevertheless, two notes: - - usually a debian package should _not_ install into /usr/local, but directly into /usr. /usr/local is for those that don't use debian packages
- - if you are interested into what a package installs, you could do... to get a list of files installed by an already installed package: $ dpkg -L <packagename> to get the contents of a package prior to instaling it $ dpkg -c <archivename>.deb you could also simply extract the package to a place of your choise with $ dpkg -x <archivename>.deb /tmp/foo/
