Oups ! Sorry. I copy-pasted from my pdpath command which cats to ~/.pdrc, but it would rather be in this case : sudo bash -c "echo -path $PWD >> /usr/lib/pd/pdrc" Or something.
If you really mean $prefix/lib/pd/pdrc then I would say that this is a great idea, because if you install several simultaneous pd's on your system, maybe you don't want them to overwrite each other's global pdrc.
