Category: puredata Group: v0.42 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 7 Private: No Submitted By: Cyrille Henry (nusmuk) Assigned to: Miller Puckette (millerpuckette) Summary: multiple pd~ can freeze pd when sending "stop"
Initial Comment: when creating multiple pd~ object and opening a patch in any of them, only the last one can receive stop without pd to freeze.
how to get pd to freeze : - open pd~ help patch - open a 2nd time pd~ help patch - click on [pd~ start< on the 1st patch - click on [pd~ start< on the 2nd patch - click on [pd~ stop< on the 1st patch -> pd freeze.
not that you can click on [pd~ stop< on the 2nd patch, and then on [pd~ stop< on the 1st patch without any problem.
with more than 2 pd~ object, there is the same problem : you have to stop pd~ in the reverse order than pd~ start message.
there is no need to open a patch to have this freeze.
tested with pd vanilla 0.42.5 on linux
