The block size changes dynamically, so it's not useful to know what it is at an object's creation time, for instance. It can be found when DSP is sorted; since DSP gets resorted if a block~ is added or changed, this is always up to date.

i'm currently rewriting some of the functions to get rid of the 64 sample limitation and the additional (unneeded) buffer in send~/catch~ by adding a common bus class to avoid that ...
from what i read in the code, i'm not sure if there is any way to access the current block size of a canvas ... sys_getblksize() returns the default blocksize ...
am i missing something? if not, is there any easy way to implement it (i would add a new entry to _glist, that can be set by switch~ and block~) ?
