Initial Comment: When a filename has a semicolon, pd 0.41.4 *eventually* gives a can't load error. It's trying to split the file at the semicolon - so if I try to load "this;that.pd" it tells me it can't load "this.pd" or "that.pd".
pd 0.42.5 doesn't give the error but also doesn't load the file.
This is on Win XP.
Not a serious issue, as I wouldn't normally use a semicolon in a filename anyway.
