About flooding the room with messages, there aren't that many commits, a few a day is a lot for this project, so I don't think that's a big concern.
I said it specifically because there is a tendency in CVS to handle each folder separately even when doing only one commit. So if you make a commit in 20 folders at once it could appear as 20 commits. Anyway. Let's try it. But then we'd have to compensate for those who are too shy to commit something because of the fear that it might "interrupt" someone else's conversation... ;)
