you are right that they are all different. Seems to me that OSX and Linux are quite similar, whereas windows is quite a bit further off. I did not even notice the difference netween linux and OSX without staring!
Ok, what is the solution to this? (which sure sticks for PDDP templates, as the float-help.pd "current" template is a mess on OSX. :(

Your font size is perfect on (my) Linux/X, too, so it's "just" Windows, that's out of proportion.
IIRC, the font is different on each platform. On Windows its too small, on XWindows, its just right, on MacOS X, its too big. Try "4.fft.examples/05.sheepgoat.pd, Here's an screenshot from MacOSX
