hi all,
i'm still working on my problem with the maudio quattro:
oss-mode: using /dev/dsp1 and a symlink from /dev/adsp1 to /dev/dsp2, i can't access both input devices, but when i create a dac~ object, i get an additional sound at about 690Hz. (pd's output level is at 97dB). using only one of these two devices works fine...
alsa-mode: using both hardware and plugin mode i don't have the possibility to access all channels, only the channel hw:1,0, not hw:1,1. using -channels 4 only maps the channels 3 and 4 as 1 and 2 (hardware) or only gives 2 channels. the playback sounds odd, too, it seems that the blocks doesn't reach the alsa driver in time ...
portaudio: i failed compiling the portaudio support. it seems that pablio is depending on a PortAudioStream, that i only implemented in the mac version of portaudio, yet...
i haven't got jack working yet ... if someone could tell me how to run jack from the command line with 4 channels, i'd be glad ...
but i'd prefer to figure out how to get the oss layer or portaudio working properly...
thanks for your time and help...
