Actually, pd-extended uses org.puredata.pdextended.pd-gui.plist which works just as well. For vanilla, we could use the following:
* org.puredata.pd.plist (app preferences) * org.puredata.pd.gui.plist (gui preferences)
I think this more property reflects the hierarchy between the processes.

In tracking down a bug, I noticed the GUI prefs for macOS are now in the org.puredata.plist defaults domain. I think this should be renamed to org.puredata.pd-gui.plist which reflects it's true function and not as some sort of meta prefs file. This matches the naming used in extended.
