Every night, the CVS repository gets rsync'ed from SourceForge, then there is a CVS update from that local rsync'ed repository. Then each auto-build machine rsyncs that updated checkout and builds it. It's been working for about 18 months, and AFAIK it's quite reliable.
I just checked one of the build servers, CVS syncing is working fine. Maybe it's an autoconf version problem? The servers run a mix of 2.59 and 2.60.
