Anyone know anything about http://www.debian-multimedia.org for apt-
get sources? It has all of the non-Debian sources that Pd-extended
needs, so it sounds like a good thing to use. I am wondering if the
packages are stable and whether the repository will be around a while.

Summary: gemkeyboard keyup
Initial Comment:
A "Feature request': gemkeyboard keyup addition. Possibly [key] has usable schematics structure. Any change on [gemkeyboard] to produce a duration reading of the key press. At present, a bang from gemkeyboard simply halts and does not hold if key is held.

Summary: Extra plugins not built properly on Linux x86-64
Initial Comment:
The -m32 flag must be removed from extra/expr~/makefile and extra/makefile in order to build x86-64 plugins. The configure script should detect this.

Hallo devs!
Does it have any sense, that the following files are in the vbap cvs
directory:
define_loudspeakers.pd_irix6
vbap.pd_irix6
If there are no objections I will remove them !

Summary: Support 24Bit-soundcards in Pd/ALSA
Initial Comment:
Several interesting USB devices like the Tapco Link.USB or the Alesis IO2 only support 24bit sample width. In ALSA this corresponds to SND_PCM_FORMAT_S24_3LE. Pd's ALSA interface however is hardcoded to only support SND_PCM_FORMAT_S32 and if that fails SND_PCM_FORMAT_S16. It would be nice if Pd would also support 24bit natively and at best some more formats. Currently the only solution to use these devices on Linux is to run jackd.

Summary: RC1 startup error
Initial Comment:
Starting up Pd-0.39.2-extended-RC1 gives this error:
error: to function, this needs to be compiled against Pd 0.40 or higher, or a version that has sys_register_loader()
It is the build from http://autobuild.puredata.info/auto-build/2007-03-28/. The testing platform is a Macbook Dual Core (not the dual 2 core, or what ever the newer one is called) running Mac OS 10.4.9.
The objects delread/delwrite and sqrt don't work as with test7. See [1] for details which still accounts. It has been mentioned that cd~ also don't work. I have not tested that.

I think they are unrelated bugs. So, sorry for posting them together. They
were intelmac-RC1 specific.
As for an example patch. To get the error mentioned, there need no patch
at all. It's just a matter of starting up Pd and watch the console windue.
And just to get it straight, it was of cause vd~ and not cd~ that also had
problems.

This seems to be multiple unrelated bugs. Each bug should be posted in a
separate bug report, and if possible added to any relevant, existing bug
reports, like delread/delwrite.

An example patch is always very helpful, especially if it triggers the
problem every time that it is run. Ideally the example patch would have
only enough objects to cause the problem, but nothing else.

pdp and pidip is still an issue on intel Macbook

Pd-0.39.2-extended-RC1.app was supposed to have a working pdp but gem2pdp is "wrong architecture"

Currently in Pd-0.39.2-extended, gem2pdp is not built from source, but
instead a pre-built binary is used. This is a kludge that causes problems
like this bug. The best fix IMHO would be to add gem2pdp, et al to the
Pd-extended build system.

no objects in the pdp library can be created with nightly build from 04-02-2007. other libraries do not seem to be affected.
