Summary: autobuild: partconv~
Initial Comment:
partconv~ has stopped the auto-builds for a rather long period now.
please somene do one of the following:
- remove [partconv~] from the auto-build system
- install fftw on the auto-build machines
- make the dependency on fftw optional

Message:
i have added a number of #ifdef's to the original code (i hope nobody
minds),
so now the object should compile again on systems without fftw3
installed.
the drawback is, that you have to explicitely define the HAVE_FFTW3_H at
the command-line in order to enable it!
(so hack the externals/Makefile which i don't dare)

Message:
I am working on it, but I have limited access to that machine, since it is
a lab machine of a university. Plus there are still some bugs in Apple's
gcc causing fftw3 not to build., so hopefully that's been fixed.

setting this to pending, as the main issue (stalling the auto-build) is
fixed.
probably one should open a wish-list issue to include it again :-)

Message:
I removed [videogrid] from the build until it gets fixed, since it has been
a while. Ideally, the ffmpeg dependency would be resolved.

Summary: Problem with GOP on subpatch
Initial Comment:
Here step by step to the bug :
1) create new patch
2) create subpatch [pd compteur]
3) create a counter with the objects [metro] [f ] [+ 1] and two number boxes, one for the metro (time), the other for the output of [f ], and a toggle to start and stop [metro]
4) close the subpatch
5) right click on this subpatch and choose properties
6) check graph on parent
7) validate by OK
Then Pd crash.
It seems to crash on all platform.
++
Jack
The patch (before to check graph on parent) is joined.

Great idea, thanks for implementing it. Also, I think if something
is breaking the builds for a month, it is fair game for disabling it,
unless someone speaks up for it (i.e. please don't disable partconv~
yet, I am working on it).

Summary: auto-build system: mail meaningful excerpt from logfiles
Initial Comment:
in the current auto-build process, the system sends an email if the build-process fails.
since the full logfile is quite big, it makes sense to only send relevant parts.
this is currently done by just sending the last 20 (or so lines), assuming that the build failure occured at the end (which it currently "kind of" does, as the build process stops as soons as an error occurs)
unfortunately, it happens increasingly often that the last 20 lines have no meaning whatsoever as far as the actual error is concerned (because the error occured more than 20 lines before)
so one has to go and find the full logs in order to see which error occured in order to fix it.
i think it would be far nicer to just print the actual error messages, possibly by grepping "error: " (or something more sophisticated).
this would also allow to build with the "-k" flag, allowing to continue to build even if one of the modules failed to do so, and still preserve meaningful information.
