Summary: crash when closing about dialog with selection
Initial Comment:
do the following to reproduce a crash (tested on os x, don't know
about other systems)
open pd
navigate to menu -> Pd-extended -> About Pd...
select some of the text
close the window
crash
----------------------------------------------------------------------
>Comment By: Hans-Christoph Steiner (eighthave)
Date: 2009-05-29 09:41
Message:
Ok, now I figured out how to make it crash for me, you have to wait for it
to crash. I was instantly opening a new window, and it wouldn't crash.
When I just selected the text, then closed the About window, then waited it
crashed. Now it crashes everytime. Strange...
The crash is happening in Tcl/Tk. For the 0.42 release, the plan is to
switch to Tcl/Tk 8.5, let's hope that fixes it.

Summary: When connecting to Jack mode, Pd freezes
Initial Comment:
I've noticed a couple of bug with regard to Jack and the new test build of Pd extended:
1) When connecting to Jack mode, Pd freezes and has to be force quit.
2) Another problem I've noticed is with current release of 0.40.3 extended, is when Pd is not computing audio, cpu usage shoots up around 30% .
This appears to happen when compute audio is first activated, then switched off. Switching on audio and cpu returns to nominal amount. This problem does not affect actual usage.
Specs problems appear on:
os 10.5.6 Intel 2.4 iMac
os 10.4.11 PPC 1 ghz
Jack OSX 0.81
thanks

Message:
Agreed, the freezing issue has been fixed for a while. I cannot reproduce
this either.
The 2nd issue still remains. I think that the CPU issue occurred around
the same time, so they maybe related.
thanks

since there is another bug report about the CPU usage
(https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=478070&aid=2791638&group_…),
I renamed this one to be about the first part. Can you give steps to
reproduce the freeze? I haven't seen this using Mac OS X/Intel 10.5.(6|7)
and JackOSX 0.81 using Pd-extended 0.41.4 release candidates.

I haven't been able to reproduce it with Pd-extended 0.41.4-rc* on Mac OS
X/Intel 10.5.6 then 10.5.7. Does it still happen for you?

Ok, I updated Tcl/Tk, and it seems to have fixed this for me. I am on Mac
OS X 10.4.11/Intel running 0.40.3-extended-20080620
