Hi Lists(s),
I'm rewriting phasor~ and unifying it with metro so that a pulse is generated from the boundaries of each ramp - so that bars of music can be read using tabread~ objects with a sample-accurate metro.
I'm sure someone will say this can already be done, but it has to be dropped into the Ninja Jamm patch, so there isn't really time to rewrite the rest of the patch.
I don't fully understand the way phasor~ wraps, but I have the object firing out bar numbers correctly. I'm putting clocks in for 16ths and 24ths of the beat, initiated on each wrap. I need to minimise CPU, so what I want to know is this:
Does phasor~ always start from 0 and go to 1, i.e. is there always a signal value of 0 at the start of the ramp and a signal value of 1 at the end? As I write this, my common sense tells me it should be "yes" but I want to make sure. I suppose I should just try it really...
Cheers,
Ed

hello,
I didn't find a solution to investigate firther the DLL loading error so I
setup a new environnement in Visual C++ from scratch.
And it build.
Also i made a static FTGL library with freetype 2.5.0 (the 2.3.5 has
linking issue even with FTGLdemo).
So I have a working Gem.dll statically linked to FTGL and Freetype (no need
to have lot's of DLL beside it).
Not tested yet, but Gem.dll loads on Windows XP SP3 (but you need
msvcr100.dll and msvcp100.dll besides it since it was built under WIndows
7).
and [gemvertexbuffer] (both on Windows 7 and XP SP3)
Cheers

hi,
I try to link Gem against a static version of ftgl but Pd can't load the
Gem.dll anymore
this is the command line :
pd.exe -noprefs -lib C:\Users\win7\pd\Gem\build\win-vce2010\Gem -verbose
and the console output :
'pd-gui' connecting to 'pd' on localhost 5400 ...
------------------ done with main ----------------------
input channels = 0, output channels = 2
Default font: DejaVu Sans Mono
The Pd window filtered 4 lines
tried C:/Users/win7/pd/Gem/build/win-vce2010/Gem.m_i386 and failed
tried C:/Users/win7/pd/Gem/build/win-vce2010/Gem.dll and succeeded
C:\\Users\\win7\\pd\\Gem\\build\\win-vce2010\\Gem.dll: couldn't load
C:/Users/win7/pd/Gem/build/win-vce2010/Gem: can't load library
The Pd window filtered 9 lines
there are not so much informations...
how can I investigate further ?

** [bugs:#1125] Subpatch displayed out of the screen**
**Status:** open
**Created:** Thu Nov 21, 2013 10:47 AM UTC by Nicolas Montgermont
**Last Updated:** Thu Nov 21, 2013 10:47 AM UTC

In the attached patch, a subpatch is saved with an horizontal position wider than my main screen (#N canvas 1818 ....).
If I use two screens, with the main screen on the right, the subpatch is opened out of the screen, and I can't see it or move it. If I only use one screen, it is opened normally inside the screen.
My setup is main screen on right : 1280x800, second screen on left 1920x1080.
Tested on pd-extended 0.43.4 and pd 0.45.3. OSX 10.6.8

Hello,
I am currently documenting and refactoring the code of PuREST JSON to be
consistent, but I seem to be unable to rename setup function from
setup_json0x2dencode to json_encode_setup, as after renaming, I get the

Using DSP mode, [readanysf~] lost his box when I try to drag&drop it (the text and the in/outlets move correctly, but the outbox don't move) if I have selected the text at least 1 time.
Not in DSP mode, all work great.
When I open a file containing a [readanysf~] object, the old links connected to this object are drop, and neither the outbox nor the in/outlets appears if I had drag&drop it before (in which case I just see a text field).
I put in attachment an image with different states of the box.
According to another user, I try to work with my OS i18n, putting all in english, but I have no result in this way.

** [patches:#517] Use all default search-paths for [declare]'s stdlib/stdpath**
**Status:** open
**Labels:** path
**Created:** Fri Nov 08, 2013 01:54 PM UTC by IOhannes m zmölnig
**Last Updated:** Fri Nov 08, 2013 01:54 PM UTC
**Owner:** Miller Puckette
the [declare] object allows to add search-paths and load libraries,
relative to the "Pd installation".
However, it does not honour the "standard" (immutable) search-paths
(as stored in `sys_staticpath`).
This patch will make '-stdpath' and '-stdlib' use all "standard" search-paths.
This allows to use [declare -stdlib zexy], which will load the "zexy"
library if it can be found in one of ~/pd-externals, /usr/local/lib/pd-externals
/usr/local/lib/pd/extra/ (in case Pd is installed in /usr/local), but it will not attempt to load "zexy" from a user-defined search path.
When using the "standard" search-paths, any leading "extra/" will be stripped (since '/path/to/pd/extra' *is* already the search-path), in order to keep compatible with the original implementation that required to use [declare -stdlib extra/zexy] (at least on *some* platforms)
the patch is against todays git (master branch); apply with "git am ..."

Hey List,
I'm new here, so let me first introduce myself. I'm Bas Kooiker, an
Artificial Intellegence master student from the Netherland. For my thesis
I'm working on unsupervised gesture recognition and for this purpose I
would like to use the Gesture Variation Follower created by Baptiste
Caramiaux that can be found here:
http://baptistecaramiaux.com/blog/gesture-variation-follower-gvf/.
That's where my question comes up.
I'm trying to build the pd object on a windows machine using the Makefile
that comes with the code. I use Cygwin, installed all the required packages
and have the last distribution of Pd-extended installed, but I get the
following error:
g++ -rdynamic -shared -L"/cygdrive/c/Program Files/pd/src"
-L"/cygdrive/c/Program Files/pd/bin" -o "gvf.dll" "gvf.o"
