It seems that the verbose level pulldown menu in the Pd window isn't
fully implemented. Or am I missing something?

right now the gui-plugins in our svn-repository live in
/trunk/scripts/guiplugins/
i find this most unfortunate, since
a) the other "scripts" in the /trunk/scripts/ section are mainly
concerned with build-systems and the like, and could thus be considered
"meta", unlike the gui-plugins
b) as a user i couldn't care less whether the gui-plugins are written in
a scripted language or not
i would therefore propose to immediately move the
/trunk/scripts/guiplugins/ to /trunk/guiplugins/ to avoid any further
confusion.
sidenote: right now, there are 8 subdirectories in
/trunk/scripts/guiplugins, all of them committed by hans.
so the switch is unlikely to create any havoc.

PS: i would also like to re-propose to move trunk/abstractions into
trunk/externals
while they are not "externals" in the "compiled binary objects that are
dlopen()ed" sense, they are external to Pd. otoh, many libraries in the
trunk/externals/ section contain not only compilable code but also (or
exclusively) abstractions.
the segregation between the two seems artificial.

Summary: Fixing dummy audio API
Initial Comment:
This patch corrects two oversights in the recently added dummy audio API. It adds function prototypes to s_stuff.h, and it corrects the invocation of dummy_open_audio in s_audio.c. It will make no noticeable difference as far as the compiled code is concerned.

In case any Pd developers out there try running the newest git version on
windows, don't try running portaudio -- I broke it and probably won't be able
to fix it for a few days.
The mmio ("normal") audio API works the same as usual.

Summary: iemnet does not take the PD_INCLUDE for compiling anymore
Initial Comment:
It seems that the PD_INCLUDE which has been used for pointing to the pd include headers
does not add a /pd which does not work on pd0.42 sources.
It would be nice to have this feature or another like PDSOURCE= since PD_PATH do not do anything
I am not sure if it is a bug, but it breaks my makefiles and I dont know how to add this without changing CFLAGS and so on.

Summary: glob_evalfile returns reference *
Initial Comment:
glob_evalfile returns a reference to the patch that it opens, which is useful when opening/closing patches with a system other than the messaging (pd open ....) system. We are already using this system in libpd to open and close patches by reference instead of file name, and this also allows us to know more about the patch at instantiation (ex. dollar args).
As the method glob_evalfile currently returns void, it has no backwards incompatibility issues.

yeah git format-patch preserves the author, etc. so its quite nice. The
code looks good, and the patch looks perfect, thanks for the update!

Okay, new uploaded patch file, this time formatted with git format-patch -
I didn't realize that there was a difference between this and using git
diff. Please let me know if there is any other issues.

Please look at the updated diff file, I have removed all the tabs and
inserted white spaces instead (sorry, its my ide's fault not mine).
The brackets around the while statement are preferred, as we want to
return x when it is still valid, not assign it a new value at each
iteration (at which point the loop ends when x == null).

Sounds like a reasonable patch, but the diff itself is fully of whitespace
changes, so its quite hard to read. A patch should only have relevant
changes in it.

Summary: Audio stops on Macbook Pro when headphones are plugged in
Initial Comment:
Steps to reproduce:
1. Download Pd-0.43test3 for OS X
2. Open Media -> Test Audio and MIDI... -> select test tone
3. Plug in stereo minijack into the headphone socket
This causes audio to stop.
Audio can be restarted by toggling Pd's DSP status
