and if you're going to be upgrading Debian might as well do the Plone upgrade as well. though this is the way we end up in Norse sagas. being the owner of a hackintosh i am very wary of upgrading these days.

This is probably a question for IOhannes: what's the blocker on upgrading Debian on that machine? Is there a way someone else could help with that? I've done quite a few Debian upgrades over the years, for example.
