Hello,
There are some admin tasks to do:
a) pdweb list moderation.
Since we always have moderation because of spam and then the archives not clean, we have a moderation fr non-member postings
Anybody who wants to take this job, or two with first serve first done.
I will put the email in the acount and sent him an initial passwd
b) Looking for some Products and installing, adminstrating
I will be only if somebody wants to to something special additional. Since all the zope install is under a user I can give the passwd for this to do this task.
c) Some kind of who is responsible for what datatree to clean out....
Maybe its not needed but we should think about.
I cannot think now of more.
And yes I only will send passwd in encrypted mail, we should exchange ore keys, or I do a phone call.

I don't think that the lists need moderation. They are very high traffic, so it would be a lot of work, and there are better things that we can do with a person's time. If we restrict posting to members on all Pd lists, that will basically eliminate spam, unless of course its our own spam announcing events, etc ;)

I could do this part time, but probably not as the main admin. It would be great if one of the Plone experts could do this.

I think this should be delegated out by section. So I have started and maintained a couple sections, like the Documentation section, so I started doing a cleanout. You can see some basic reorganization on the docs cover page:

I can do PGP or GPG email or if you create an account on my jabber server, at.or.at, and log in using SSL/TLS, you can talk to me securely (ID: hans@at.or.at).

Sending reminders about the proper usage of the lists should be enough.
I was thinking: maybe the mailing list archives could be moved to Plone, using MailBoxer: http://mjablonski.zope.de/MailBoxer

i think there is a misunderstanding: 1) the list in question is pdweb only (not pd-list, or pd-dev or whatever) 2) "moderation" does not mean what you normally would understand by this: that one or several moderators read and approve every single mail; it is rather like it is now with the pd-list(s): posting should be restricted to members only; non-members and spam are caught by Mailman -> these messages have to be approved or rejected by a list-administrator; it's like what i am doing with the pd-lists each morning: go through the 60 emails that didn't make it to the (main) list and reject them (to real users) or send them to /dev/null (if they are spam)

Unfortunatly I'm really not up to that task because of too little Zope knowledge - and I deliberatly stopped further aggregating that kind of knowledge some time ago. ;)
Still if someone takes this job, I would love to have the possibility to add Documents in reStructured Text format (docutils.sf.net) as that's the format I use for documenting my stuff.
I tried to find out what would be needed to get reST support in Plone, but the docs on plone.org are a mystery to me. It might be that just installing the python-docutils package will suffice.
Ciao

I'm doing Zope/Plone almost full time now. I could definitely help. Besides, I was in the admin group on the old site (user odradek).

ZWiki supports reStructured Text.

The Plone community is a bit like the PD community: the starting information can be found in one place, but "google kungfu" is a required skill to do anything useful,

Cool, will have to try. ALthough I was hoping along the lines of: "add item" -> Document -> Format: reST"

Ah, well, I was exercising my search-engine-kungfu, but to no avail. Have to try harder.
ot: This weekend I wrote an anti-Zope-clone in one afternoon, it's called "teeny tiny cms" and in action here: http://footils.org/cms/sql ~4232 bytes packed. ;) Next weekend I'll migrate my website.
Ciao

I just found a Plone product that does exactly that. ATContenTypes propose replacements for standard Plone content types; it supports reST, as well as plain, structured, <pre>, HTML and python text. But it requires beta versions of other products, so it might not be ready for a production site. Eventually, Plone defaut content types will support reST out of the box. -- Marc

Thanx I know it.
We have it on a test site since some month, but it seems to be in a rapid development process, so i was not courageous enough to use it. Jens Klein, one of the the originator of this product, works for us in the IAEM project, So this next week, the testsite should be ready for workshops and then I can take the new ATContentTypes.
But. we have to migrate all standard plone products (Documents, images, links, ...) to this, which is then Archtetype based and also should have references.
