www.puredata.info is not the same as puredata.info nor www.puredata.org
nor puredata.org ... (the list is almost infinite).
in my prior answer (which went to pdweb(a)iem.at) i stated, that the
"real" name of the site is 'puredata.info' and NOT 'puredata.org' and
NOT AT ALL 'www.puredata.org'.
it seems like the primary name of the certificate is really
'puredata.org', i am sorry for the confusion.

you can install the root-certificate that was used to sign the
puredata.org-cert from http://iem.at/services/certs/IEMroot.crt
(note: all these certificates are self-signed).
to re-iterate, you(!) have to ensure that you are using the correct
host-name, and this does NOT include www.puredata.org nor
IOhannes.puredata.info.

hi.
this issue should really be on the pdweb(a)iem.at list, so i have moved
this thread.
carmen, you might want to subscribe yourself to this list for ongoing
discussion (if there is one)

that's because the "official" name of the server is "puredata.info" and
NOT puredata.org, and NOT AT ALL www.puredata.org (this has something to
do with who owns which name).

no that's not possible with apache.
basically there are 2 options:
- only have 1 single name for the https-server (like puredata.info) and
make redirects for all other names (like puredata.org)
- make a multi-name certificate; that is what i tried currently.
probably a mixture of both would be best (e.g. redirect *.puredata.org
to puredata.org);

I am using this page for the test releases of Pd:
http://puredata.org/Members/hans/downloads/installers
But it frequently runs into out-of-memory errors, while the rest of
the site works fine. My guess is that plone is trying to read all of
the files in that folder, and dies because they are large.
Is there a way to disable this so that the folder always just gives a
basic listing of files? Otherwise, I'll have to move the test
releases elsewhere.

I am trying to upload Pd-extended test builds to puredata.info and I
get seem to get the upload going. I can get to my folder, the upload
seems to start, but then stops after running for just a bit. Also
when I try WebDAV, it doesn't accept my password.
