Skill set, responsibilities Proficient Max/MSP/Jitter programmer, ideally pd/gem as well, or comparable software platform for video manipulation. Experienced in Digital Video - advanced understanding of DV camera functionality (standard and HD); working knowledge of Final Cut, Compressor, Quicktime. Detailed knowledge of Mac and PC hardware and accessories, especially as related to DV capture and output. Ideal candidate would also be proficient in sound/audio technology. Innovator - has a hunger for new ideas and is willing to learn. Tech advisory - keeps current on new developments in technology; willing to educate others. Management skills - can coordinate necessary repairs, remote technicians, and suppliers. Organizational skills - disciplined, well organized, and is thorough when completing jobs. Self-directed - able to manage his/her own workload and move forward with ideas. Willing to travel alone or in groups. Responsible - punctual, respectful, hardworking. Works well in a collaborative studio environment with coworkers and clients. Open to constructive criticism, brainstorming, and idea- sharing. Ideal candidate has several years experience or a grad degree.
Great work environment with established artist working in gallery, museum, private collection, and corporate settings on large scale projects. Starting salary is $38,000, plus benefits after 90 days for full time. Part time considered for the right candidate; salary negotiable.
