Other then small amount of exported beer labels, for a mass production there has been always an attempt to have new labels in beer market here in Turkey, but they never made it to exist for a long time and even Tuborg has been in the market for ages with Carlsberg and ect, I believe they are also loosing money, but their financial support still keeps them in the market. And the only reason for these things happen is the beer called EFES PILSEN, which is the choice of the majority here.
if you have already tasted it, then you know what I mean ;)
after the opening song of Sonic Youth gig in Istanbul, Thurston Moore, did some welcome talk, and then said " ... and sorry for the bad taste of Tuborg" and tuborg was one of the sponsors of the event :) probably someone made them to taste EFES before the gig;)

As loing as it is not the crap beer we make in America! ;)
I know what you mean... I could go for a nice Stella Artois or a Peroni... or a dozen Harboes...
That's not beer! How about a pint of 'Old Speckled Hen' or 'Bishop's Finger'... *English* beer.
You barbarian hordes of pd-list have obviously never tried any of the fine array of Australian beers!
Best,
Chris.
