I cannot seem to get GEM running on Win2k.
I have PD 0.37-0 an installed GEM 0.87.
I keep on getting this message:
G:\Program Files\pd\bin>pd -lib gem/Gem G:/Program Files/pd not using MIDI input (use 'pd -midiindev 1' to override) 12 audio buffers gem/Gem: can't load library
I have tried absolute links, with bracket, without, backslash, forwardslash...
I cannot figure it out. The Gem.dll is present, the GemLibs-folder is also in the pd folder...
What am I doing wrong?
where is your gem.dll? if you place it in the pd/extra folder, or in a pd\extra\gem folder, you can simply call
pd -lib gem
and it should load. the pd\extra folder is included in pd's path by default, and as of .37, it can load any external in a folder of the same name (which makes it easier to organize your files and keeps the pd\extra folder clean)
maybe the "G:\Program Files\pd" is causing you problems? you could try it's DOS-style name, e.g: "c:\progra~1\pd" ...
