Stupid question, maybe, and horrendously OT:
I'm using KMail but mostly not KDE. Does anyone know how to get attachments out of a message when not in KDE (in KDE you can just drag and drop them)?
Thx in advance.

This depends on your mail program. I use the console program Mutt and there it is the key sequence "v" and"s". ciao,
alternatively, get the attachments via browser off the list archive - http://iem.kug.ac.at/mailinglists/pd-list/ on the left frame click on "latest" under "MAIN", then on the right frame sort the messages by attachements and (left|shift|alt) click on the attachement link.
the icons shall appear in the archive this morning

Thx, but it is not really a problem to get the attachments: I only have to start up KDE and then I can drag them out of the message. I was just wondering if there wasn't another way. I"ve been looking for a "save attachment" like commando but without luck.
