Birmingham City University is pleased to offer a one-year, AHRC Professional Preparation Masters studentship in Digital Arts in Performance...
MA Digital Arts in Performance ------------------------------------------
If you have a background in art, music, dance or performance arts and are interested in developing your work through digital technology then this is the course for you.
Based at the Visualisation Research Unit (VRU) at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, this is unique opportunity to work with new technologies like motion capture, HD video, sensor-based sonics, MIDI systems and distributed computing. The course also draws on the expertise and facilities from Integra Lab @ Birmingham Conservatoire, where you are able to develop the quality and diversity of your work through the exploration of sound. You’ll benefit from working alongside students from a variety of arts backgrounds, and together will look at experimentation and practice in art, music, dance and other emerging practices from a technological perspective.
