Hey guys. I'm trying to develop an utterly simple dj setup in pd, to just open files, cue and crossfade from a midi controller. The main problem is getting pd to play mp3 format. No idea how to get compatibility. Also would they have to be saved to a table to play 'cause the graphics after tabwrite~ for long files cause audio glitches. Any thoughts on the matter would be helpful. God bless. Have a look at [mp3play~] from IEMlib to start with. There is also [readanysf~] from August Black, which I personally haven't found to be completely stable, YMMV.
best! Derek

[mp3play~] looks promicing, tho I can't get a file length or time remaining out of it.Also it complains about some of my mp3's being layer II. Any thoughts?
