hi.
so you finally made Gem work ? great
not really. I got it to load by forcing it not compile with gltt, ftgl and glut, as well as changing -Wl,-shared to -shared in the config file.
Now it loads, but when I make any gem objects pd (and sometimes linux) locks up. I kind of gave up for a while: it gets tiring not having any successes for a long strech like that. i should try again, though I dont know where to start...
Any Ideas?

oh, sorry.

in the current CVS the GLUT-dependency is removed. so you everyone can have a teapot.
i have also fixed the ftgl code a bit: checking for valid pointers when destroying the objects - as i have seen this might have been a problem somewhere in a mail (yours) ?
and some other major bug-fixes which i am very proud of (but only effect you, if you have Gem running ;-()
