Hi again.
Pd 0.37 from Hans' osx installer, Gem 0.87, osx 10.2.8. After stopping rendering, I often get a crash when editing patches:
'GEM: Stop rendering
pd_gui: pd process exited
/Applications/Pd37.command: line 3: 457 Bus error
/Applications/usr/local/bin/pd -verbose -midiindev 1 -lib
/Applications/pd/extra/Gem -audiodev 2 -listdev'
This seems to happen with the Gemwin open or closed: actually seems happier editing whilst rendering, bizarrely. It does the 'pd_gui' bit when I try to move or add objects.

I have no idea where Hans gets his version of GEM from, so I have no idea how to answer these questions apart from pointing you to versions that are supported.

Hopefully H-C will include these in his installer at some point...

ps - please FWD this to the pd-list since my mails to the list using the web interface to my account don't seem to make it.

I used the GemG4 version from whenever that package was released. I'd like to incorporate Gem into the build system, so that Gem will be fully included when you type: make darwin_mpkg. There are two things needed to do this: a way to compile Gem on MacOSX from the command line and then add the MacOS X package making stuff to a Makefile.
I don't think I'll have time to do this for many months, but anyone is welcome to step in. :)
